What’s your main guitar?
– I use Fibenare guitars, handmade in Budapest, Hungary. My main instrument is my Roadmaster FB super-strat style guitar.

What amp and cab combo would you say is your go-to?
– My main amp is a Laney Lionheart L20 2×12 combo

A quick rundown of your pedals and outboard, in the studio and live?
– I use a combination of an Axe FX II and my amp with my Wampler Dual Fusion signature overdrive and various other pedals mic’d up with an SM57
and a Royer R121 ribbon mic. This is all recorded using a Universal Audio Apollo interface. Live, I use my pedal board, built by Daniel Steinhardt from the Gigrig
into my Laney Lionheart amp.

String gauge?
– I use 10-46 on my Strat scale length guitars and 11-52 on my shorter scale ones. I always use IQS strings.

Pick of choice?
– I use Timbertones Jazztones picks made from Buffalo horn.

When recording, what’s your DAW of choice?
– I’m a massive fan of Studio One and use V.3 for all my work. I also use Cubase 8.5 and Logic when I need to.

If you had to stick to one guitar for the rest of your life, what would it be and would it have 6, 7, 8 – or 9 strings?
– This would definitely be my six string Fibenare Erotic – it’s just so comfortable to play and looks and sounds gorgeous.

If you had to describe your style, what would you say…and in what overall genre would you place yourself?
– I’m definitely within the Fusion genre but I cross into straight ahead jazz and rock/shred too at times. I guess my style is a smooth legato one based over chord changes and grooves.

If you could pick only one track to jam to for the rest of time, what would it be?
– Without a doubt it would be Little Wing – that tune is just so perfect and there is quite a lot you can do with the harmony as well as just going for it with a pentatonic scale.

Name five players that helped shape you as a guitarist!
Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Greg Howe, Allen Hinds, Pat Metheny

Who’s the most interesting player today?
– For me I am really torn between Jonathan Kreisberg and Julian Lage. They both blow my mind and are achieving new things for the instrument.
