When did you realize your passion for music and how come you ended up playing guitar?
– When my father let me watch a music program on TV and I saw Jimi Hendrix then I started to imagine myself as a musician. Some years later, in 1974, when I was 8 years old I got my first guitar and tried to learn how to play that instrument, I’m still trying to learn.

What’s your main guitar right now?
– My main guitar is a Paul Reed Smith SE-245 with EMG pickups.

Any other guitars in your collection?
– 1. Jackson Slatt- 7 strings guitar  2. A Fender Strat  3. Casio PG-380 rebuilt with an Eugen Body (By Henry Urhaug).

Name five players that helped shape you as a guitarist!
– Naming all the  musicians that have influenced me would be a pretty long list and it’s not just guitar players it’s often piano players as well, but if I limited it to guitar players the list would be : Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck and Bill Frisell.

Looking ahead, what’s your ultimate goal with your music and guitar-playing?
– To experience and learn as much as I can and to try to improve what I’m already doing.

Who’s the most interesting player today?
– There are so many, but I can name four guitarists that I think is doing something quite interesting the moment : Tom Qayle, Tim Miller, Ben Monder and David Torn.

What amp and cab combo would you say is your go-to?
– A Kemper Profiling Amp with a Mesa Boogie Mark V 25 profile.

A quick rundown of your pedals and outboard?
– No pedals, the guitar is connected to the Kemper Profiling Amp and goes mono out into a Digidesign MBox 2 Pro audio interface and then the signal is recorded in Apple Logic X, I usually apply some EQ-shaping with a Fabfilter Pro-Q 2 plugin. Other effects may include a Lexicon LXP reverb plugin and a tiny amount of delay from a Logic Delay Designer plugin, all running on a Macbook Pro laptop.

– 010, 013, 017, 026, 036, 046 , Jim Dunlop Stubby 3.0 mm
