Since some Toontrack customers may be new to Point North, tell us briefly about the band!
We started in 2016 as a melodic pop punk band and have been evolving ever since. With the rerelease of our EP “A Light in a Dark Place” dropping this summer, fans can expect new music closer to fall 2018. You can find us on Spotify and Apple Music!

You just signed a deal with We Are Triumphant. Must be exciting times for the band! Tell us how this all came about and what you have coming up!
We recently signed with We Are Triumphant and our good friend Greg Long who has been a huge help in marketing and distributing our music. We are in the process of releasing some singles throughout the summer as well as rereleasing our debut EP “A Light In A Dark Place”. In the meantime we have been collaborating with some pretty cool people coming up with some fresh ideas that we can’t wait for people to hear. You can look for that stuff towards the end of the summer. Other than that we are looking forward to hitting the road with some friends and playing some new material.

Anything you can share about your upcoming record?
Its sort of a 180, but also awesome. We changed up the style a bit, but it is definitely still Point North.

You recently started working with Superior Drummer 3. How do you think (or already know) that the program will help in your creative process with the band?
As a band we are constantly fleshing out new ideas and sending them to everyone we know in the industry. Using Superior Drummer 3 allows us to create releasable material in a shorter amount of time, which makes us more productive during our sessions. It allows us to get more material into the hands of the people that can make a huge difference in our career.
