I quit PM, too, many times on both computers but I still had to do it all over and over again.  I rebooted my computer, restarted both Logic and GarageBand as well as deleted cache files.  I’m glad it’s over for now but I sure hope I don’t have the same problems others seem to be having as indicated in the other threads.

John, I have Product Manager on both of my computers.  I’ve downloaded and installed and updated EZdrummer multiple times and have been caught up in that feedback loop where I downloaded it and installed it and updated it but I keep getting the red boxes in PM telling me that I still have to perform those tasks again.  And again.  And again.  And again.  And again. It gets a bit irritating when I spend HOURS doing that.  I’ve NEVER had these problems with any other music programs.  It’s a simple purchase, download and maybe an update and they work.  I can’t be the only one.

Well, you fixed it.  You pointed me in the right direction.  So, EZDrummer wasn’t in the same AU list as everything else I have downloaded in AU such as Guitar Rig.  In the track bit where it says what the AU is for the track, I click on the up/down arrows and EZDrummer is in THAT list.  Weird, it shouldn’t be there.  Of course, the first time I found it I got a EZDrummer message box that something was wrong with the midi and I needed to update but there was nothing to update.  So, I had to uninstall EZDrummer and download it again and THAT put me in the loop again in Project Manager where I had to download and install but kept getting messages that I still needed to download and install and update.  I spent a couple of hours doing that again like I did the first time.

What a hassle.  I’ve never had this much trouble trying to get a program on my computer and working.  Everything just worked right out of the “box”.  I don’t see how I could recommend this to anyone unless you like being in a hamster wheel and spending hours just trying to get the program loaded on your computer.  I literally spent more than eight hours working on this.  I was at the point of wanting my money back.

So, thanks Brad.  I appreciate your help and suggestions.  I would never have found EZDrummer on my computers if not for you.

It’s not showing up in Audio Units at all.

I didn’t know how to do what you’re asking me to do but i gave it a shot anyway.  I clicked on Finder, then lower down under Location there’s an icon of my computer screen with my name next to it and I clicked that, then HD, then Library, then Audio, then Plug Ins, then Components and there was EZDrummer as well as EZDrummer demo.  I deleted the EZDrummer demo and rebooted my computer and opened Logic.  No Toontrack in AU list.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, it shows AU 2.1.8 installed.  Also, I know where to look for the AU and it’s not there.  I have several AU programs and they’re all there except for Toontrack.
