Yes, I think there needs to be a new way of joining the forum.
Todays antics are ridiculous.
To overdub drums after guitar, you would be best to record the guitar with a click track into a DAW. So that when you come to work on the drums with midi, the drums will be in time with the guitar.
A lot of professionals do this.
It just can be tricky because the drum sound has to work with the guitar sound and the drum part has to work with the guitar.
A lot of people like to know what their guitar groove is going to be, but commit the drum part and drum sound before committing the guitar.
Of course the beauty of Toontrack products is you can adjust drum parts and sounds as you go along.
I would imagine a combo of EZX:Jazz and EZX: THe Classic would get you to a ‘fusion’ sound.
When you launch EZdrummer for the first time, a screen with your computer ID will pop up.
You need both the serial number and the computer ID to authorize EZdrummer.
I think there are installation and authorization tutorial videos in the customer support area at toontrack.com
Craviotto kits are incredible.
Johnny Craviotto’s workmanship is superb, and the design of the kit (single ply) makes for an outstanding sound.
The kits in The Classic represent my take on the best sounding drums of the last 20 years.
Yamaha (80’s and 90’s), N&C Horizon (90’s, 2000’s) and Craviotto (today).
No, I can’t remember having worked with Phil Brown. Although many times in the 80’s I was called in for three or six hour sessions when the emphasis was on getting the job done, not chatting. So he may have been the engineer on a session and I’ve just forgotten.
