Thanks for that clarification Rogue. I appreciate what you’re saying, but basically I wanted the keymap to make sense of the MIDI files that came with the tuition videos. I could hear snares and stuff being played that were obviously ‘off the grid’ of 21-65 and I figured that if I had names on the keys, I can do that in Reaper I don’t know about other DAW’s, it would help indentify what was going on quicker. Life’s probably too short to start dealing with eight octaves of samples anyway. Thanks again though.
Thank you John and thank you godprobe, that is indeed exactly what I have been searching for. In fact, it’s more than I’ve been searching for as it contains the kits I have now and others I may purchase in the future. Also, thanks again to juicy for his contribution.

Thanked by: CH7 RoxNo, it just shows A0 to F3, and it’s the same with the Vintage Rock kit that I also have. It’s annoying more than anything because when you examine the MIDI files that come with EZD they are using the ‘un-named’ keys as well, so there must be some differences or why bother? I have Googled ‘GM Extended’ and ‘Extended GM’ and the same with GM replaced with MIDI, but many of the hits take you to EZD’s FAQ’s which only say it uses extended GM with no further info.
Thanks for the reply Juicy, but no. That only shows the keys from MIDI notes A0 to F3. However, the drum sounds extend below A0 for around a couple of octaves and above F3 to G8 which is a little over five octaves more. There may be more, above and below, but that’s the limit of my keyboard and virtual keyboard. Thanks again for your help though.
