You can still find the Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX on Amazon or musicians friend and a couple other places I’ve seen. It is a huge library and sounds killer with such amazing detail. I am using it for a project currently. It is one of my favorite SDXs.Joe & Platinum Samples did an amazing job. I wish they would’ve done more with Toontrack, but that ended thanks to all the douches that pirated it. I have requested that Toontrack make the Evil Drums SDX compatible with SD3. Still waiting to hear. I just can’t part with it.

Hey Thomas,
Have you checked the exit trigger setting on your E-Drums? I’ve had to change the sensitivity on mine. Also you may want to test the pad by plugging in another TRS cable.

Are you using EZdrummer or SD2? You can in SD2. I have done it on a few songs and it sounds awesome. There is no option for that in EZdrummer.

Hey David,
You may want to Youtube The different Toontrack grooves. I do that went I am interested in purchasing a MIDI pack. There is a guy that goes through and plays a few seconds of each groove. You may not find every groove but it may help.

I know this issue all too well. I have a DM10X. You have to individually set your mappings on SD2. Right click on a drum or cymbal then hit learn then hit the pad you want. Then, you have to save the configuration. This will not carry over to each EZX or SDX pack or when you relaunch the program and if you decided to use a producer preset, that will change your configuration. If you want to use a producer preset then select it first then map your triggers. This is not a flaw of Toontrack, but rather Alesis. The DM10X module is not my favorite. I’m not saying it sucks, but it is not that great. Also it would help if our DAWs made a preset for it like they did with the DM5 (which I used to own and liked it). When I hit the left cymbal it triggers both the left crash and the ride. So I have to deleted the ride note from the mapping. Some days I wish I just held onto my DM5. Yeah it doesn’t have the same capability of the DM10 module like cymbal chokes but I could just program that like I used to.

Increase the velocity of each note in the midi editor. Also, you may be able to fix some of the velocity issues with he velocity knob on EZDrummer
