    Thanks Whitten. Is there any way to preview grooves in MIDI or add-ons before you buy?

    If I bought one of the more rock/metal orientated packs, would that have better 6/8 3/4 stuff becuae there is more of that meter in the metal genre?

    @antibiotic….you posted this thread a long time ago so you’ve probably found this already, but if you mess around with the tempo subdivisions in EZdrummer and your DAW software (I use ProTools), you can get some nice, sparse grooves in the 6/8 section. The only problem is that since you’re playing most stuff in half the designed tempo, you won’t get much going on in the hi-hats/ride, but it’s a good enough basis for adding your own embellishments.

    I agree with the thread starter. The rock grooves are very comprehensive, but all of the 3/4 grooves have 2 snare hits in every bar. There are so many modern rock songs in this meter, but the grooves sound like old-time waltz or polka.
