Toontrack has better songwriting tools than the competition, IMO.
Toontrack works great with all modern DAWs.
Superior is more for Audio Engineers and pro Edrummers.
EZDrummer is less expensive and more user friendly.
You can hear the products for yourself on the product pages. Sounds amazing to me.

There could be more details, but I will make an assumption…
The Roland TD27 plugs into your computer via USB to transmit midi. EZDrummer now receives the USB midi signal. EZdrummer then sends that sound to your audio interface so you can hear it. The audio interface should have headphones or speakers plugged into it.
*if you plug the analog outputs of you Roland into the audio interface, that means you want to record/hear the Roland sounds, not the EZDrummer sounds.

Thanked by: ryankinninThe computer requirements are at the bottom of the product page. A decent CPU and 8-16GB of ram will do it for EZD3. Being an edrummer you may want an audio interface as well to be off to a good start for latency.
Your impression about the product manager is off, IMO. Toontrack has 100s of products. Therefor a Product Manager comes in very handy to organize, update, activate, and manage your files. All of the top software companies I use do as well.
Toontrack has quality videos right on the product page but they do not focus on Edrumming with their presentation. YouTube has plenty of videos specifically on it.
You may want to give it another fresh look.
