I just found this YT video, and this gentleman has more mixer channels than I do. He has several for individual cymbals. Why doesn’t mine, and how can I get them?
I know this is old, but I just bought SD3 two days ago and assumed from all the wonderful reviews I’ve read about it that it would give me complete control over every aspect of a drum kit. I now have the same problem as the OP. I want to place each kit piece where I want it, not where Toontrack or anybody else wants it. I can’t believe I don’t have control over where to pan each cymbal, especially that ride. Heck, you can do it in Addictive Drums 2, BFD3, and probably others I don’t know about. This is really lame, almost makes me regret buying SD3. Why don’t I at least have to option of turning off the overheads and room ambience mics and sending each piece out to separate channels on my DAW, then I could apply reverb as I want? Unless I am mistaken about this, it seems like somebody didn’t think this through all the way.
