Gone unfortunately. They dissapeared(the SDX version) from the Platinum Samples Webpage first and I asked Rail and he said they were not going to do another run because of, among other problems, piracy. That seemed strange and I just think it did not work out with Toontrack.
Really too bad as this was the best recorded of the SDX’s in my opinion, Couple that with a real lack of SDX’s in the last two years(I count the Jazz releases as one product) that I have concluded that Superoir will always be the step child with EZ Drummer the real aim. So I am now checking other drum packages after being with Toontrack since Superior One.

+1 on the Platinum Samples. Love the Evil Drums.

I don’t get why a machine can’t be used for hitting the drums. I fail to see what a human offers to just record different velocities. I suspect it is just less expensive to hire someone than to build a machine. Certainly any number of manufacturers could build something for a price.

I love the C&V stuff as well. As I noted in another thread, I combine some C&V cymbals with the Evil Drums. Pretty nice.
I must admit though that I have used just about all the kits available for Superior 2 and they ALL sound good!
Really, we are just spoiled rotten.

    Hi:
Not at my music computer, but one of the Combined Presets from Rail is the Tea Towel kit. I believe it is based off of the Gretch set. I did the minor mods as listed above and set the C&V cymbals mics to the appropriate channels as best as I could.

The problem is I just upgraded to C&V last month after holding out cause I have S1. That upgrade was worth it too!

Just a word of gratitude to Rail & Joe for the sensational EVIL Drums SDX.
