I’m wondering if you’re expecting to find EZDrummer installed amongst the included Logic library of instruments. It’s not.
I expect that you’ll find EZDrummer (and most likely every other 3rd-party virtual instrument) among your choices of AU plug-ins (shown below).
I cranked up the volume on my monitors and played the examples that you listed on the EZ Grand expansion.
I didn’t hear anything like you’re describing (and I’m pretty sure that I have retained a fair amount of my high-frequency response).
and certainly nothing different from other associated patterns.
I’d be interested to hear other user responses as well.

When I use Tap to Find, the action of clicking the mouse does not trigger the sample immediately causing the mapped note to not be on the click. It takes a milli second to react putting the note a little behind the beat. The note is then auto quantized out of time. So one of my most favorite and desired features in EZD doesn’t work. If I load it in Pro Tools, the feature works as expected so it appears to be in Reaper.
You’re going to want to use some type of a MIDI controller for the best performance of most virtual instruments,
including EZDrummer and its songwriting functions. Using a mouse, clicking on the drum graphic and the software
converting those actions to a MIDI event will inherently cause latency.

For having almost $1000 in your product, I should have speed dial access!

What I’d like is a phone number.
My issues aren’t covered in the FAQs, and I’d prefer to talk to a human being.
I’ll bet that if you can’t find your issue covered in the FAQs, you’ll find it by using the [Search] function of the forum.
There seems to be so many posts repeating so few of the same issues.
Sadly, some of them are covered in the Operation Manual as well.
Plus, forget the phone number (unnecessary) … I’d like a cap & T-shirt.
Though it is Toontrack’s policy not to comment on product roadmaps or development,
there are those on the internet (even those within this forum!!) who speculate that we may soon see, (wait for it!!)….
EZ_Singer!!!
Seriously, I like what you’ve posted.
As you have a song title, do you have lyrics too?
I suppose that you’re aware that it’s not supported (see the attached chart),
and you not only have to consider your architecture & OS, but your DAW as well.
but why not download the demo and check it out for yourself?

Too late for this purchase, I know,
but the Toontrack webshop is not the only place to buy Toontrack products.
Sounds like ‘Stevet26’ is selecting the EZX Electronic MIDI grooves on the Browser tab,
possibly thinking that this will also load the Electronic library to play them.
Or perhaps he thinks that this is how libraries are selected rather then by using the Library/Preset dropdown
(shown here in Fig. 1)
or by using the ‘Kit’ selection dropdown on a Kit Piece selection window
(shown in Fig. 2)
I hope that you both will find the EZDrummer app within the ‘Toontrack’ folder within the Applications folder.
in the Toontrack FAQ:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-move-the-sounds-for-ezdrummer-2/
and as noted in another thread, some MIDI grooves really, really shine when played on the drumkit library on which they were performed/created.
The Pop! EZX being another one of those, like the Latin EZX and Jazz EZX, where hits on specific kit pieces in the course of the groove are what makes the groove unique.
And I agree, if I’m buying a MIDI pack for its unique groove stylings, I’ll spend a few dollars more and get a whole library of drum kits and samples.
Instead of the dropdown Menu, trying clicking on the big, orange-ish button shown below in this illustration
from pg 11 of the Operation Manual (found on the dropdown Menu):

To find Kit Presets, you click one of the drums’ drop-down arrows to reveal the Drum tab. There’s a ‘Kit’ drop-down there as well where you can select one of the Kit Presets.
THANKS!!! I never stumbled on this. I don’t think that it’s even touched upon in the Operation Manual.
Some of the grooves really, really shine when played on the kit libraries on which they were originally performed/created,
the Latin and Jazz EZX expansions probably being the most shining examples.
I have used ‘right-click’ options on ALL of my Apple products, my Macbook Pro and my Mac Pro with a TrackPad and/or MagicMouse, my iPad, etc.
Granted, I come from a very extensive Windows-based history prior to using Apple products.
Anyhow, first check your TrackPad System Preferences to enable the “Secondary Click” option, if not already enabled.
