    You’ll find your Toontrack instruments listed in Logic under “AU Instruments” in the I/O selection menu
    on the channel strip for your Software Instrument Track.

    unless i am misunderstanding your question,
    the answer is ‘Yes, you can use separate keys and strings sections with only one piano library and without the Mellotoon expansion.’

    the 2 instrument parts of each grroove are distinctly separate files and can be used independentl of each other.

    If your host (Live, Cubase, pro Tools, Sonar, Reaper, et al) is 32-bit, you need to install and make sure the host’s plugin path is set to that 32-bit plugin.

    Same for using a 64-bit host. Make sure you are using the 64-bit version.
