I own almost every Toontrack product and operate exactly as Scott has described.

    Oops!! Correction:

    I see that there are 3 Producer Preset packs available for the following EZDrummer sound libraries;
    Metal Machine, MetalHeads, and DFH.
I do not see any Producer Presets pack for the Indie Folk library.

That said, there are a couple of EZMix2 packs that can be applied to your drum tracks, be they EZDrummer, SuperiorDrummer or any drum session you’ve recorded.

Could someone recommend the best products to mix my drums?

I’m about to mix an album and I’ve used The Indie Folk EZX on 10 songs and the Allaire Kit on New York Vol.2 for the two other songs.
Would some producer presets work for the Indie Folk? Or any EzMix pack in particular?
    Thanks, Andre

If by “Producer Presets” you mean those listed on the SuperiorDrummer product page ( http://www.toontrack.com/superior-line/ ),
then, No, they will not work with any EZDrummer expansion sound library. They are only for use with SuperiorDrummer libraries,
and I believe that each Producer Preset pack is designed for a specific SuperiorDrummer sound library.
In other words, the Producer Preset titled, “Metal Foundry Presets – Andy Sneap” will work ONLY with The Metal Foundry SDX and nothing else.

Hi. Yes, I’m selecting the My Products section – the top right pull-down menu.

You probably just need to expand the My Products page to [Show All] of your products.

RAR?? assuming that you mean ZIP file.
how big is the downloaded ZIP file? it should be 2.35 GB.
If the download completes and the size looks correct,
please try another ‘unzip’ program or the “Extract All” option in Windows Explorer.

They do. When I go to my account and my products page, things I DON’T own, are slightly greyed out and faded.

Yes, they do….on the My Products page and I will refer there when need be, but purchases are not made from that page.
If the Product Purchase/Order page also offered the same fading, coloring or if the two pages could be integrated,
perhaps the OP (rollasoc) would not have made duplicate purchases; not withstanding those made at 3rd party retailers.

At the moment, I maintain a spreadsheet of Toontrack products and which of those I have purchased (having fallen foul of buying the same thing twice). Periodically, I end up going through the site to add the new products.Laugh
It would be nice if the account had the option to download a spreadsheet, listing all products, whether you have purchased them, date and the serial number.
Keeping track of what midi files / ez mix expansions etc is a pain without it

It’d be even nicer if the Products pages indicated those which you’d already purchased,
or minimally display a warning if purchase of a registered product is attempted.
I’ve seen this process incorporated in other webstores.

    please elaborate with some more details;

is it happening in Standalone mode and/or inserted as a plugin in a host?
if as an insert, what host are you using?
    what hardware? OS?
what sound library do you have library?
what specific MIDI you are dragging?
    thanks

As I understand it, Toontrack sorted thru their 88,000 existing grooves, labeled or tagged or did whatever they did that required me to update the Toontrack grooves already in my possession (released prior to 5-5-2014) so that EZDrummer2 can do its sorting, filtering and searching. I do not work for Toontrack but I think that I can safely say that there is a presumption being made that there is functionality or a module of sorts embedded in the EZDrummer2 software that somehow does automatic cataloging of the MIDI grooves loaded therein and that this hypothetical module is purposely excluding non-Toontrack grooves.

The aforementioned MIDI updates included standalone MIDI expansions and the MIDI that was included with EZX’s and SDX’s alike. (see attachments)
The timing of these updates coinciding with the release of EZDrummer2 would seem to be for no other reason than to implement
the labels or tags that allow EZD2 to ‘do its thing’.

That is not to say that Toontrack didn’t possibly use some kind of tool to do their labeling & tagging. I don’t know.
There might also be an issue with incorporating such a tool within EZD2 while also keeping the plugin/app’s footprint as light-weight as possible.
IF it exists, perhaps Toontrack can release such a tool as a free-standing, ancillary utility that we can apply to our user-created and 3rd-party grooves.
I hope so. I own a lot of 3rd-party grooves, have altered a lot of Toontrack grooves and created a fair amount of my own.

Please don’t forget that EZDrummer2 allows you to preview any and all MIDI that is available through the Toontrack MIDI Web Shop
by clicking the “Show Web Shop MIDI” button atop the filter window on the SEARCH tab.

This will allow you to hear any MIDI that you’re interested in to be played with any of the sound libraries that you own.

    in a nutshell, yes.
you can take any of the grooves from the provided libraries or MIDI expansions you’ve collected
and replace the “style & flourishes” of that groove with a sustained or more basic chord groove, leaving only the chord susquence of the original groove.

and as always, you can embellish and/or alter the chords further with EZKeys’ chord tools.

I’m not sure that I understand your question but please allow me to make the following comments:

You can download your Toontrack products as often and to as many computers as you wish.
However, you are allowed authorizations on only 2 computers simultaneously.

You can use a single download to install your product(s) on multiple computers.
Only the authorizations used are counted or identified individually.

    nice choices.
check out the Nashville kit, too.
i find it a nice compliment to the jazz grooves.

Disclaimer: I do not work for Toontrack. I own no stock in Toontrack and receive no commission from recommending any Toontrack product. haha

sorry. i was not my intent to insult you.

    1. I do not work for Toontrack.
    2. I cannot update the homepage and I won’t debate the webdesign, I liked the old website better. but didn’t like separate logins for product registration & the forum.
If you follow the craft, many webdesigners always seems to want to hide stuff in menus and dropdowns (that are often frustrating to navigate). I don’t understand who they’re getting to test the usability.
    3. Who is to say that Toontrack hasn’t updated GC? I have 5 friends who work at the local GC and every one of them will tell you that no one has a clue what is going on with the company’s customer service & support.
