These products originated as DAW plugins and continue to be offered as such alongside their standalone versions.
It is my understanding that there is/was a set of standards for plugins, limiting somehow what a plugin can or can’t do running inside a multitude of DAWs.
Toontrack has always been responsive to its customers. I suspect this feature will be considered as any other.

Wow, I’m going to run into the same problem then. I’m presently running the 64bit demo and would ‘probably’ purchase the full product but after reading this, that’s going to be doubtful. And after reading that neither/none of the published solutions work it this time, the company REALLY needs to step up and update the screen sizing issue. And enduser should be able to size the application for whatever size screen they have in use. The fact that the company hasn’t fixed this issue is very disappointing. Cry

I’m confused. Are you currently experiencing an issue running the demo?
If not, you won’t with the full product, either.
If so, is it an insurmountable issue that will hinder or prevent you from using it?

I’ve used Toontrack products on a variety of monitors, including a 55″ 4K HDTV, 27″ iMac and 15″ Macbook Pro.
I’ve not experienced any difficulties with any of them and do not understand how your issue is limited to Toontrack’s products.
Please tell me, what do your other apps look like at the resolution giving you issues with Toontrack products.

When EZX’s and SDX’s are sharing the same theme …, these are recorded from the same studio recording session , so of course they are pre-planned …,

As you no doubt are aware, but for those who may not know,
SDX’s are the raw, unmixed, unproduced samples
(including the bleed from all of the mics used) recorded during the session
from which EZX’s are created as pre-mixed subsets.

Nobody knows for sure. And we couldn’t say if we did know…NDA and all.

    FYI: NDA = Non-Disclosure Agreement.
“A non-disclosure agreement (NDA), also known as a confidentiality agreement (CA), confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), proprietary information agreement (PIA), or secrecy agreement (SA), is a legal contract between at least two parties that outlines confidential material, knowledge, or information that the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict access to or by third parties. It is a contract through which the parties agree not to disclose information covered by the agreement. An NDA creates a confidential relationship between the parties to protect any type of confidential and proprietary information or trade secrets. As such, an NDA protects non-public business information. In fact, some employment agreements will include a clause restricting employees’ use and dissemination of company-owned confidential information.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-disclosure_agreement

Hi, Does anyone know how to edit the 8 bars loops? I find it annoying that each 8 bar loop ends with the same exact fill in. I’m trying to drape the midi file or delete a piece of the kit but its not sounding good.

I don’t think that the delay is at Toontrack.
I typically buy my Toontrack products from a 3rd-party vendor and depending upon the time of day, and day of the week,
I have gotten my download key(s) between one (1) hour to ten (10) hours later.
I’d contact GC about your purchase from them.

perhaps while searching the forum you both missed these posts regarding window size,
    starting with:
    http://www.toontrack.com/forum/ezdrummer-help/hi-res-display-on-your-mpb-in-windows-got-you-squinting-heres-the-fix/

    http://www.toontrack.com/forum/ezdrummer-help/windows-10-window-size-cant-use-software-in-tiny-window/#p158784

    Maybe they’ll be of help.

I’ll try to quote the meat-and-potatoes of their suggestions.
As noted above by Fleece, there seems to be confusion regarding the contents of the manifest file referenced in the 1st post.
Unfortunately, I cannot help y’all beyond providing the posts as I am on a Mac and have no experience with the manifest file.
I can say that I have 3 monitors, each using a different resolution, and have no issues with any Toontrack products on any of the three.
and one of them is a 4k Samsung HDTV.

I don’t know if this has been covered elsewhere but I thought it may help a user or two here.

As we all know, higher and higher resolution displays on our laptops are becoming more and more common. Even full HD now seems quaint. My Dell XPS 15 has a resolution of 3200 x 1800 and that’s not unusual anymore. The result is that some software can open in impossibly small windows – rendering it useless. In my experience all Toontrack software falls into this category.

Fear not! There is a fairly simple solution.

    The lowly manifest file.

Below is the text of an example manifest file. In fact, it’s the manifest file for my laptop – fixing EZdrummer 2.

    EZdrummer64

    false

Note the line toward the beginning that says:

    “name=”EZdrummer64.exe””

That must contain the exact name of the executable file. A few lines below it is another place we need to enter the application name.

To use this file. Open a new, blank text file. Copy and paste the above into the text file and save it to the directory where the offending application lives.

In my case, that directory is:

    C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummer

The file must be named as follows:

Exact original executable name + .manifest.

    eg.

    EZdrummer64.exe.manifest

As mentioned before, it must reside in the same directory as that exe.

After the file exists and is in the correct location, all you have to do is launch the application normally and windows will take care of the rest.

There is ZERO danger in using this. It only gives windows a few instructions that tell it how to render. NO permanent changes are made to anything. If you don’t like the results, simply delete the manifest file and all will return to original state.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg

    – Try rightclick the EZdrummer icon and choose properties, then compatibility tab.
    – Uncheck “Disable display scaling on high DPI settings”.
