I’m trying to authorize a laptop to my acct. I currently only have my home computer active on my acct. How do I add the 2nd computer so I can out EZD2 on it also?

I find it easiest to log into My Toontrack account on my laptop, download and install those products that I wish to use there.
After installation, I will run the EZD2 standalone app and allow the prompts to lead me through the Authorization process.

Hopefully I can add another question here. I’ve just purchased one of those EZ Drummer 2 upgrades (informed by the retailer that still valid). My question, I am just about to get a brand new studio PC. Do I need to reinstall EX Drummer 1 then run the upgrade to EZ Drummer 2? Or is my ‘upgrade’ purely a discounted purchase of EZ Drummer 2? i.e. does the upgrade pack look for version one on my PC?
    Thanks

EZD1 does not need to be installed or exist anywhere on your system to enable your EZDrummer2 installation.
Though you will have to install the EZD1 libraries.

…you’re an admin its your job.

Why presume that he is getting paid to be an ‘Admin’ on the forum?
That may or may not be true. I don’t know. Don’t care, either.
Respect for his patience, ability, and willingness to help.

Can you please describe your issue?

You need only unzip/extract the download file, not each of its contents.
Once the download file is unzipped/extracted, running the installer appropriate to the user’s context,
the installer will read the cab file and install the appropriate contents of the cab file.

    Yes. 2 Macs or 2 PCs or 1 Mac & 1 PC.
2 simultaneous installations of any type.

    EZkeys MIDI packs require EZkeys.

..and contain no sounds or samples. just MIDI events.
if you don’t know what that means:

    Sorry for the delayed response.
I’m guessing that this is a Reaper issue.
I tried to replicate your workflow in EZDrummer2, dragging a “Play Style-edited” 4-bar fill into Logic Pro X (v10.1).
The 4-bar fill contained only 3 beats of MIDI events with the remaining beat 4 empty.
Logic retained the entire 4-bar block.

I wasn’t able to try this in Pro Tools before work today. (It crashed…waa waa)
I can try Pro Tools and possibly Reaper later
but I can’t say that I’ve ever had Pro Tools or Logic reduce the size of the block from its size in EZD2.

    What DAW are you using?
I do not recall this occurring in Pro Tools or Logic.
I’ll try again when I get back to the studio later.

Can I still use EZDrummer then?

Yes. EZDrummer2 and SuperiorDrummer2 can co-exit on the same system.
I’ll bet many users use EZD2 to ‘program’ their drum parts and then either drag the MIDI into their DAW/Host on a SD2 instrument track,
or use the ‘MIDI Out’ from EZD2 to control SD2, taking advantage of the full production capabilities of SD2 and its raw samples.

I just installed the Studio One 3 demo for version 3.2. (PS. i am on a Mac, OSX)
I performed the same few steps that you described (opened new, empty song, then click on instruments. Click and drag EZdrummer to create a track).
EZDrummer2 works normally and as expected.

    One thing that I notice in your screenshot that is missing in my experience;
in the lower left-hand corner, there is a “no symbol” over top a depiction of your audio interface.

which product are you using? SuperiorDrummer2 or EZDrummer2?

If I recall correctly, this particular set of MIDI grooves is listed alphabetically under ‘EZX Libraries’ as ‘Classic Rock’.
I’ll check later when I get home if no one else has chimed in….
