May be it works with Logic Pro X using the “convert Audio to Midi”-function. I did this with a Kick-Drum Audio WAV signal converted to Midi. It generates automatically another track with software instrument e.g. EZD 3 and you can select a Kickdrum from there. I can mix now the Original Kick drum with EZD 3 Kickdrum to get a nice sound.

Sure; if you have close-mic’d multi-tracks, an Audio-to-MIDI conversion could be the way to go…
but I think that the OP was referencing a full drum kit recording.

Thanked by: Bear-Faced CowAs you probably already know,
this is where & why many users will go with a multichannel output routing from SD3 into the DAW
discussed (albeit briefly) in the SD3 user manual, Section 5.1 “The Mixer Tab”
specifically Section 5.1.1 “The Mixer Manu”
and apply HOST 3rd-party VST plugins there.

choose “Apply Multichannel Outputs“

Thanked by: Bear-Faced Cow, Korken and drumjack52Can you please post a screenshot of what you can see?
It might help us prescribe a fix.

Thanked by: Bear-Faced CowI’ve had a go at what you’re doing. The instruments in the destination groove are all replaced by the hi-hat if I choose Paste on Selected Grooves > All.
Hey, Mick. While I appreciate your reply, the issue is not with “Paste on Selected Grooves > All.” The issue is with “Paste on Selected Grooves > Hi-hat” (or with other, individual instruments in that command). Thanks.
Hi there,
Can you save the EZD3 project, archive it (compress .zip) and post it here. I can not replicate the issue on any of my rigs, I have a 3.0.6 version and 3.1 and can not get it to misbehave like that.

If the OP insists upon using 3 instances of SD3,
perhaps they should ‘unload’ the kit pieces not used in that particular instance
so as to free up system resources.
The extra load may be what is causing the ‘time-slippage’.
??
upgrades for your previous expansion kit purchases should be available in your account
once you’ve upgraded EZDrummer. No further purchase for those expansions should be necessary.

Also, do I need to uninstall the 64-bit version first?
Thank you!

of what version of Pro Tools are you referencing?
Pro Tools absolutely DOES NOT require 32-bit version of EZKeys 2. Hasn’t for awhile.
PS. EZKeys 2 has always been 64-bit and AFAIK never offered a 32-bit installer.

Ha! I wasn’t even aware that there is a MIDI PACKS forum.
As you’ve suspected, it appears to be limited to drum MIDI content.

Yeah. Neither did I until I remembered that it searches the entire website and forum.

Thanked by: justinchowTypically, you can indicate to the app/DAW to what MIDI note/articulation you want converted(sic).
Having said that, if the MIDI is in EZDrummer3’s Song Track,
the Grid Editor is your friend. In the EZD3 manual, see Section 5. The Grid Editor Tab
specifically, Section 5.2 The MIDI Note Workspace.
asked so often, it can be found under the FAQ’s.
