The Avatar 1 SDX yes. It can be installed and used in S3.

Great! Thank you. The Avatar 1 is the same as the NY Studio Series volume 1, is that correct?

You can install SDXs workout installing S2 so you can use them in S3. The EZD1 library is not compatible with S3. Only EZXs.

    Thanks again, Scott.
How about the S2 stock library that came with S2 (not SDXs)? Can I somehow install that without installing the S2 plugin?

    1. You only need to have S2 registered to your account to be able to then register the S3 upgrade. You don’t need S2 installed.

    2. S3 is available as a download or on SSD.

    3. S1 and its libraries are not supported in S3.

    4. EZXs and SDXs are supported in S3. If they are already installed on your computer S3 will pick up the install path. If you are installing from scratch, you can install the SDXs anywhere and set the paths in S3. You will also be able to set at path when installing S3 (custom install option) to set an EZHome location where all EZXs will install.

Also, check the S3 FAQ for more details on some of your questions.

    Thanks, Scott.

Is it possible for me to install the SD2 sound library (to use it with SD3) without installing the SD2 plug in itself?

Same question goes for the EZDrummer 1 stock sound library, can I install that without installing the EZDrummer 1 plug in?

Would I be able to install all these libraries as well as EZXs and SDXs I have from the Product Manager/Download Manager? Or will I need to use the installation DVDs I have of these products?

    1. I think that’s possible – as long as you have a license in your TT account for S2.0, you don’t need to have it installed in order to install S3.0.

    2. You can order the base library preinstalled on SSD, not DVDs. $199 extra.

    3. S1.0 is not supported, looking at the FAQ.

    4. Yeah I think you can install them separately, but I’m not 100% certain.

Thank you, I appreciate you trying to help.
Still hoping for answers from the TT support.

    Thanks again John.

Yes, I’m on Windows, just copying the sound folders from the DVDs is no problem.
Do I need to create a specific sub-folder for these sounds form Superior 1 or do I just copy it into the same folders where SD2 has it’s sound libraries installed?

Thank you very much, John! I appreciate your quick reply!

That sounds great, and I will definitely install the product manager.

One more question about installing the Superior 1 Legacy libraries: do I just copy the ‘Drummer’ folder off the CDs into my SD2 folder on my hard drive? without installing any of the installers on the DFH Superior 1 discs? or would I need to run the installers as well? to be clear: I do only want to use the Superior 1 Legacy libraries within SD2 NOT in the old user interface.

    thanks,
    Lars

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I also am looking for those screenshots, especially for the old Sonor Of Metal kit.
I remember having downloaded these a long time before, but that was on my old PC, and I don’t have these files anymore.
I do love the drum sound on the Sonor Of Metal demo (I still have the mp3, it came with the DFHS DVD, but not the Cubase screenshots of EQ and comp settings, etc).
Are there maybe also still Cubase project files available for this?
Another related question: I still have the sonor of metal.dfh file, is it possible to somehow open that in SD2?
If anybody could help me with these that would be great!

    Thanks,
    Lars

Sorry Scott, I have one more quick question about the upgrade:

Will the Upgrade replace EZMix1 or will it install EZMix2 and still leave EZMix1 functional?

    Thanks,
    Lars
