Blink 182 is not punk, if they do make a punk expansion Travis Barker should be nowhere near it, save him for a ‘Pop’ expansion.

ok thanks I think I get it. I thought since they were already processed that they couldn’t take too much more processing on top of what’s already been done, so I thought maybe they went back to the original dry samples, but now that I think about it that wouldn’t make sense since it would mean having to get new sample content since the original processing is already baked into the samples, so it’s not like a total remix. either way, it was a good idea making producer presets for ezx’s, I’ll be getting some stuff soon, I just want to see what the final metal month release is and then I’ll formulate a plan.

tell the higher ups it would be cool to see some Terry Date presets or an ezx….

    plus

    1 – a classic punk/hardcore ezx/sdx +grooves
    2 – progressive rock ezx/sd + grooves
3 – an old school metal ezx

    thanks for the reply.

I would never just buy ezdrummer regularly, it would be nice of toontrack to do something cool about it but I guess they’re not known for being nice guys.

it sounds like you’re describing what cubase calls ‘Drum Maps’ I don’t use Fruity but it sounds like you need to find or create some drum maps. you can probably already do this and it’s probably in the Fruity manual. I don’t think ‘sending information to the piano roll’ is a feature request, and the way you worded it doesn’t make sense to me since it’s the piano roll that will send the info to ezdrummer and not the other way around. you could also try not using the piano roll and program them another way in fruity, that’s how I did it back in the day when I used FL.

    I could be wrong though..

    Hey b. sabbath,

Just wondering what you think about the Ainlay presets.  I hear it comes with a pretty big pack of them, but was it worth the money to you?

I think it might be my favorite so far or at least just as good as the Metal, for lack of better words the Ainlay presets seem like sensible bread and butter type stuff, I’m satisfied with this one. I also just got the Needham pack too and it’s not bad but I’ll still use the Ainlay the most or at least as much as the Metal.

if you thought the Metal pack was worth the money then you’ll think this one is too, if you didn’t think the Metal was worth the money then you won’t think this was either, but I find it useful.

For starters, it seemed like there were much less presets with that pack than with the other two,

the MN pack has 48 and the Rock has 46

    Metal – 58
    Chuck Ainlay – 68

for example this synth here, he has 2 versions and one of them is just a ‘preset player version’ of the big one, it’s a great idea http://www.admiralquality.com/products/

thanks for the reply. I think it would still be ez because they both would still have all the same presets, so maybe just an ‘Advanced” tab and signal/clip lights in an EZMix producer version, or something. as of now I still have to use izotope Alloy for some things, it does have nice metering but at a cpu cost especially at very low latency.

yea I got the Ainlay pack and I’ll probably be getting this one soon too, and whatever the hell else they put out I’ll probably buy too…

and an input/output indicator even if it’s just 2 lights, green for a signal and red to show clipping.

I take back some of what I said up there because the more I use it the more I like it, it’s fitting well in a lot of stuff and I even set it to be my default library when S2 opens.
