I know what you mean about everything sounding too same-y. I use them a lot as a part of the creative process when it comes to laying out how the song parts are going to be ordered and also things like which instrument will the power hand be used on. This allows me to very quickly get the gist of the song laid out so I can focus on the music. That way if I’m working on the chorus and realized that the ride hits should have been alternating between edge and bell hits, I don’t have to change it in a whole bunch of places, particularly when it’s something tedious like that. That will take you out of the zone real quick. Then once I have everything nailed down I’ll go back and add uniqueness and details to each part.
By linked parts I mean if there is a chorus that repeats, you create a linked part so if you change anything in chorus 1 it updates chorus 2 as well.
The “Extra Bleed”… is that like a cymbal bleeding into a tom’s mic or a tom bleeding into another tom’s mic?
I’m curious about that reverse… are there going to be SDX libraries released that don’t work for SD2?
Yeah I get that about the recommendations. My suggestion would be to change the verbiage to “If you are unsure which one to choose, both are recommended.”
I think the reason I wanted them in the same folder was because I was switching computers a lot and using multiple computers and found that since the libraries aren’t really “programs”, they are just files that weren’t bit dependent, so I just copied the folders from 1 hard drive directly to another instead of installing from DVD which takes forever, then requires updates etc. It was easier to find them when they were all together.
I don’t have anything 32bit on my system. DAW is 64 only, I’ve only ever used 64 bit versions of Superior. Everything worked fine when I had the libraries installed in /Program Files/*

That being said, I would like the ability to pick my install paths. I can understand having 32bit/64bit programs in the different program folders, but as far as I can tell, the expansions are not bit dependent.
Out of curiosity, I have a 64 bit system but the new program says it recommends both 32 and 64 bit installations for the superior plug in… why does it recommend that?
Tried that with no luck. I copied the C:Program FilesToontrackEZDrummer* Directories to C:Program Files (x86)ToontrackEZDrummer* It seems to work fine now.
They are all in the same location. I remember there was some weirdness with installs. I probably did choose a custom install path, but I don’t particularly remember manually setting the paths on the Settings page.
Windows 10. Wonder if I might have installed them in non-default locations?
The actual install path is: C:Program FilesToontrackEZDrummer

planetnine… i checked out reaper. Seems pretty cool for a good price. But I can’t undo with CTRL-Z in it either. I figured you suggested it because you’ve had experience doing it. Am I just doing something wrong?
