Hi everyone,
I could use some clarification here.I bought EZdrummer 3 for €179, then the Americana EZX for €89, and finally the Roots SDX for €179 — that’s a total of <strong data-start=”362″ data-end=”370″>€447.
Now I’ve discovered that I can’t even use Roots without also buying the Superior Drummer base library, which costs another €179. That would bring the total to <strong data-start=”532″ data-end=”540″>€626, just to access mallets and brushes — which I honestly thought would already be available through Americana or EZdrummer 3.
Yes, I now see that it’s technically mentioned in the Roots SDX description, but it’s pretty buried in the text and wasn’t obvious at the time of purchase. So at the moment, I’ve paid for an expansion I can’t use at all.
For context: I’m quadriplegic and in an electric wheelchair. I physically can’t play drums, so EZdrummer is literally helping me fulfill a dream — allowing me to create music in a way that would otherwise be impossible. But right now, I simply can’t afford to spend another €179 to get Superior. I’ve already contacted support asking for a refund, but I wanted to check in here as well. Has anyone else run into this situation? Is there any workaround or solution I’ve missed?
Honestly, I just wish it had been clearer that Roots SDX is strictly for Superior users.
