Any guitarist looking for great heavy rock tones: BUY THIS GUY’S METAL GUITAR GODS 2.

I have to dial the input down in EzMix 2 for the presets in that pack by about 10-12 dB (generally right at noon on the dial), but they’re freaking stellar once that’s done. I use the Chris – Bright Lead Dry for 80% of my heavy tones (sometimes spicing up a little with Bias FX on the back end, sometimes not) and, in conjunction with the Metal Bus from the Mastering pack on the Rhy Guitars, it’s great. Think heavy Chevelle, Deftones, etc.

I remove [most] non-root notes and shift down an octave or two to create bass lines. Works great as a start, and of course depends on the VST.

I use Izotope RX6 spectral noise reduction to clean up a lot of the extra noise, but I also don’t use alot of the GG3 sounds so off the top of my head I don’t know if they’re way worse.

I have a house with several dimmer switches and live next door (literally) to a power plant hub, so electrical noise is unavoidable for my demos. Even with all my dimmer switches killed, noise from any of my single coil instruments is unliveable without RX6. Bass is particularly bad. If you’re mitigating all forms of electronic interference already, you may have to settle for something like RX. Running the spectral de-noise multiple times on soft settings then stacking tracks (which I do anyway) yields good enough results for my purposes.

I could not recommend the Izotope production suite more. RX and Ozone are life savers.

Short answer: Yes! I got the answer from Sweetwater.

After you register any sound expansion or EZKeys instrument in Product Manager, there is a button that becomes active inside Product Manager telling you to choose your free midi pack.

PS – Holy smokes, Dream Machine is, well, a dream.
