The split point may not be exactly at 126/127.. but yes.

Hi Juicy,
Yes, TT build their snares so that the top velocity is a rim shot… we did not, our rim shots are separate.. but to emulate what TT do you can create a velocity switch node as indicated in my link above where this is discussed.

You can set up a MIDI Node to switch from center hit to rim shot by velocity – see our forum thread:
https://www.platinumsamples.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=190&start=10
where I posted a “How To” video.
The GM Map actually does put the rim shot on the E
Flams are on A3 (69) which is also standard for SDX’s with a Flam articulation.

You bought an upgrade which requires a previous version as listed.

If the note you add is being placed with too much length, switch to Slip Mode or adjust the grid settings in Pro Tools to a shorter grid. If the note extends the end of the MIDI region beyond the length of the Groove’s loop… switch the track to display MIDI Regions and either truncate to the Grid using the S shortcut or use the Trimmer Tool.

Also check out their Speakerphone: http://www.audioease.com/Pages/Speakerphone/speakerphone.html
You want to send the whole mix into the reverb/effect and mainly use the return with less of the original… EQ out the top end.
Check out the Digi Post forum — they may be able to steer you towards a forum geared to post audio.

More “vinyl tip” sounds, please.
Noted… but the only drummer I ever saw in the studio who used nylon tips was Jeff Porcaro… and that was over 9 years at Oceanway, 2 at Record One and 2 at The Complex with George Massenburg and Greg Ladanyi.

Plate with about 80ms of predelay.. or a 480L set to “Large Wood Room”… RT=2secs or so depending on tempo.
