I think that is an absolute MUST!!!!!!! – I don’t like the Native Instruments Octobans (they are far too toppy) and there (as far as I know) no one else does an Octoban set (high or low) – The best sounding Octobans I have ever heard on record must be Simon Phillips – they are amazing!

Please please create a full Octoban set SDX

Hi there, connect a MIDI lead from the MIDI OUT on your drum module to the MIDI IN of your PC MIDI interface (hardware). This interface is more important than you think, as if you use a cheap soundcard as your interface, you could experience higher latency when triggering the SD2 kits. The latency path (think of time delay) is the time taken from triggering your pad, your drum module recognizing the pad and outputting the appropriate MIDI note to your MIDI interface and then triggering the appropriate sample in an SD2 Kit – The weakest link in this chain is the soundcard/MIDI interface and of course it’s dependent on how fast our PC is. The best solution is a fast PC with an external low latency MIDI interface (usually connected via USB2 or Firewire).

You don’t actually use the sounds inside your drum module in this kind of set up as you are purely using the drum module as a Trigger to MIDI interface.

    Hope this helps.
