How do you mean “works similar to toontrack”?
Spectrasonics Trillian is a great bass library. Native Instruments has Jay-Bass, MM-Bass and Pre-Bass that sound really good. Yellow Tools has a bass plug called Majestic.
Check those out, I bet at least one of them will be what you are looking for!

Sorry, nothing like that in either EZ or Superior. Maybe check out Beatstation and see if it could be a better alternative?

You TT guys should seriously look into this. We scandinavians want to buy digital just as the rest of the world!

As Scott says, sometimes I just draw a kick and a crash and voila, the song is finished. However, when I need something else, I usually just try out different fills until I find something similar to what I have in mind, then I tweak it to my liking with some good old midi-editing.

Thanks for clarifying that Scott. I was indeed talking about the VSTi audio channel and not the midi channel. I actually didn’t know that the midi channels have automation options too

That’s correct. You cannot use automations on the audio output of Superiorto change the velocity. Automations change volume. If you want to change velocity then you will need to enter the pianoroll or just highlight the midiclip and search for the “velocity” function under the MIDI tab in the toolbar.

As you write… Altering the velocity triggers a different sample and will change the sound a bit. Just use the velocity when you want to change how the drums are played. When you have found what you are looking for then use volume automation to match the volume of the drums with the rest of the music.
I have actually never tried to change velocity of several different clips at once so I wouldn’t know how

Toontrack really should support you with the missing expansions so that you can finish what you’ve started
Great job!
