A DTX700 with RHH135 user here. Same issues, not smooth hi hat transition in different VSTs. I’ve tried different solutions posted here to no avail. But I have realized CC values change a lot when hitting the pad. The HH pad has pressure detection at the bottom so when hitting the pad you are modifyng de CC values unintentionally. This leads to “jumpy” CC values SD just receives and plays. In my case with Yamaha I think the module is filtering some CC values when played in standalone but sending raw CC vaules via MIDI output.

My solution, not perfect but I did not found any better, is to place a cymbal felt washer at the bottom of the pad (see image ). This washer cushions the hits on the pad so CC values stay more constant.

As said not perfect but better than before, especially when nothing else works.
