+1 for the bell and ride on all cymbals!

Native Instruments do that on their Abbey Road series…and makes perfect sense.

    Thanks Gmontano

I suggest you keep an eye on this forum as well: http://www.dtxperience.com/forums/

My first tip would just be to get the pads mapped to the correct kitpieces, and start tweaking your settings in the DTX brain. (sensitivity, rejection etc)
It is a rather personal preference how you want it to respond, so that part has to be done to taste.

Set the latency setting on your software as low as it lets you.

Then I guess it’s mostly about asking when you run into problems you can’t handle…that’s what I do!

Happy drumming…S2.0 are some very…eh…addictive drums.

I have a DTXtreme III special…plus a few extras, and I love it!

All you do, is use the “stack/alt” mode to select the midi note numbers of each sound you want to trigger from the various positions on the pads/cymbals.
Then you download the latest firmware and usb drivers…to get the cymbal chokes to work properly.

There is of course some tweaking with the sensitivity and crosstalk settings, but it’s fairly easy to get right.

All pads/cymbals are 3 zone, so you can have both crosstick and rimshot on the snare.

Rail was able to duplicate what I experience, so it appears to be a Pro Tools bug.

I guess DrumIt five is hard to consider since it seems to be terribly delayed…and nobody appears to have a clue as to when it will available

Then there’s also the new Alesis http://www.alesis.com/dm10prokit …lurking on the horizon.
The module has 12 inputs…so plenty of room to expand.

I see it locally here in Denmark…and I can see that british sites like Dolhpin have it at £ 1599

But it is not out yet…and has been overdue for a while.

Looks exciting to me…and is even made in Sweden, so just wondered why the swedes don’t seem aware of a local product like this one.

How come nobody is mentioning http://www.2box.se/
They are pretty cheap compared to anything from Roland and Yamaha…and have dual triggers on all pads, and three zones on the cymbals.

    Anybody actually try these?

I know they aren’t out yet…but should be very soon.
