You can move the SD2 window to another monitor just the same as with other plugin GUIs. I do this regularly.

The design of the Superior interface was created for a fixed-size window. Certainly at this time there were very few plugins with resizeable windows. Expectations have changed and this is something I know is on the wishlist and TT will consider. Please bear in mind that this sort of change will require some major codebase changes and is unlikely to happen on a minor version revision.

I will point out that for VST plugins (the ones I’m used to), resizeable GUIs are the exception rather than the norm. Plugin interfaces tend to consist of fixed graphics overlaid with animated graphics and controls/ value boxes which do not rescale easily unless purposely written to do so. Please note the level of graphics and other content used in the various pages of the SD2 window.

Most plugin vendors concentrate on the audio performance and CPU hit, and as such many plugins are fixed size, or offer a choice of two or three fixed sizes. Continuously scaleable windows are only just being considered with increased importance as computer power increases and user expectations rise.

They are becoming more numerous, but it is not a minor matter to rewrite the front-end to an existing plugin as complex as SD2, and as it doesn’t impact the actual functionality of the software, I wouldn’t expect anything before the next major version revision.

MIDI Packs are nearly always going to be fancier than you’ll need for much music.

The beats in many casaes will be more elaborate than you’ll need and many of the fills, too.

The trick is finding something that has a good feel, even if it’s too busy, and pruning out the “unecessary” hits.

What “The Now” was trying to say is that you get the Blues MIDI kit with the Blues EZX, the Indie-Folk MIDI with the Indie-Folk EZX, etc…

Maybe you want to look at some of the “session” or “Basic” MIDI packs. I’ve got the “Session Drums” MIDI pack, and the “Basic Rock” and “Basic Rock fills” MIDI packs and they’re very good with mostly “meat and potatoes” grooves included. Ususally any slightly more fancy grooves just need a little pruning…

JBL will probably get their SP to remove the site; it’s trademark infringement and it will reflect badly on them (althought the site I looked at was awful and the logo isn’t the standard JBL one).

If you paid by CC then you should get your money back from VISA or MC.

It’s listed in MIDI note order, but that’s handy -should be built into SD2

Edit: be handy to have the MIDI note numbers as a subscript in each box too…
