Bring me some jazz! I predicted that the Jazz SDX would be released 6 month ago…I was a little offÂ
ORIGINAL: Whitten
I’m talking about Benny Grebb and Mike Portnoy SDX’s for example.
My Benny Greb request is more of a vision than something I actually think will ever happen. I won’t be disappointed if it’s not coming this December…pleasantly surprised if it would though!

Hi,
no product is scheduled for release this Wednesday. I don’t know where rockdude got this from, but it’s a misunderstanding of some kind.
Oh sorry for spreading misinformation. I just thought since it’s the 1 December on Wednesday there would be a new announcement about what’s coming in December. My psychic skills are fading. There’s nothing coming in December?

You guys seem to build up every possible release date, then sound deeply disappointed as the dates come and go.
Just sayin’…..
Not really, but I see your point.
I was disappointed when Metal Month was announced because I’m really not into metal and I thought there were enough metal for SD already.
Soon it’s December and time to reveal the new goodies! I really hope it’s something above normal..something extra for the holidays!
We’ve all speculated about a Jazz SDX and it’s probably what we’ll get. I just noticed that Toontrack posted a review of the Jazz EZX this month in their blog ( http://www.toontrack.com/blog.asp?id=23 ). Maybe it’s another sign of the upcoming Jazz SDX.
BUT what if we’re all wrong and its a giant signature kit from Benny Greb with extremely dynamic snares and cymbals with real chokes and all kinds of articulations!!!
This Wednesday we’ll know!
Me too. I’m from Sweden and I was astonished of how cumbersome it was to order such a simple thing as a preset. I took for granted that I could pay, download and play the same night, but that was certainly not the case.
I’m glad someone is looking into it.
No need for midi packs here either. More sounds to the people. I’m looking forward to what December has to offer.
Let’s put this Metal month behind usÂ
Bring on the jazz!
Sonic Reality sampled Pearts kit and it’s released for their own Infinite player within Kontakt and also for BFD. I’ve written to Dave (head chef of SR) and he’s positive to release a third party version for SD also. As far as I understand the ball is in Toontracks court. If they were more prone to release third party libraries I think we could’ve seen a lot more from Platinum Samples and also from Sonic Reality. Evil Drums (the only third party SDX) is a beast in SD!
And to add my flavor to the request for future kit samples. Benny Greb and Simon Phillips. Their sound is sooo groovy….mmmmmmgaaarh groovy *drool*

I’m no fan of midi packs, but one from any of them would make me reconsider 🙂
I have no problems with EZX releases…it’s the metal that bothers me, but that’s my personal taste and obviously a majority of the Toontrack customers have a taste for metal so it’s a good move to release more of that stuff. Increasing sales might bring more and different releases in the future.
I’ll stop ranting about metal now and let all metalheads feast on this months goodies. Hopefully there will be something for everyone before the end of the year .

Aint that the truth,
Same thing in reverse will happen with Jazz.
Yes, but that’s what’s cooking for December.

There’s gotta be another library coming, or else it’s a huge letdown.
Of course there’s more to come. It’s Metal month.
Well the word is full of metal fans so I guess you guys are doing the right thing when releasing more metal stuff….even Santa Claus of all people proved to be a Metal addict…but what about me?…MEMEMEMEME!Â

Well, November 2010 is Metal Month…
Perhaps December will be fluffy bunny month…
Haha! Fluffy bunny month in my face please! My money is waiting for that fluffy puffy bunny . Just make sure you fill it with lots of velocities and articulations and I’ll eat it raw.

I predict a Metal Foundry 2, an EZ Mix ‘Metal’ edition, a Metal ‘Songwriters midi pack that could span multiple volumes, and possibly mixer presets for metal foundry 1 and/or 2 by some reputable Metal engineers.
I will buy them all!
Good for you
I’m afraid your predictions probably are correct. I would buy none of them. I think there’s enough Metal already.
