maybe in 20 years.. toontrack don’t fix Sample Pool Bad samples.. they just release new material every year..
Quantity Over Quality ..
it is simple open the sample pool.. find the sample.. and pull down the volumen from that sample… -12 dbs.. or 8.. and release and update.. easy.. how hard can it be?
i just found out the same… no a lot of round robins.. in SD3 SDX new libraries.. maybe that’s why the Hi Hats sound so Bad.. specially in the Softer Hits.. I think SD3 divides.. 127 into.. something like 12 Layers less or more … and inside those layers only a few round robins.. so That is why … if you ONLY turn on the “Randomize Hits” without all the Adjacent Layers Off.. you can definitely Hear the Machine Gun effect.. so.. it is like a Fake Round Robin what Toontrack SD3 Uses….
that tells you All you need indeed .. in fact if you Solo a Direct Chanel and put the Same let’s say a 100 Midi velocity Hit only with only “Randomize Hits” you definitely can hear the Machine Gun effect ..
I think toontrack Needs to make a Libraries with Less Mics.. 20 ambient mics Won’t make a drum sampler sound more realistic..
focus on Studying and analise how to make Better Samples ..speacially the Hi Hat… and don’t forget to Make the drummer that is recording the library hit those Harder Notes on the snare specially.. ” all the New SDX libraries has that Problem..
more close mics.. instead of 20 ambient mics..
this is a Real Hi Hat… there is a Kontakt Library by a company called.. VI-elements – Core Kit – well those Hi hats sound Much better than All SDX libraries.. perfect that.. instead of just delivering more of the same with the same problems..
Nothing like a real hi hat.. there’s so Much to Improve in the World of Drum Samples.. we are not there yet. sounds great
it tricks the listener but not a Drummer or a Musician.
that only works with User presets not with Toontrack Presets.. I wish there was a way to NOT change any midi at all in SD3 when changing Libraries or Presets or ANything.. MORE simple.. easier.
yes i know about that option but it’s not really handy,
.. to many steps to do one single easy task
i miss the old NODES from SD2.. it was so simple to Create a now called “STACK”.. controlled with any CC.. no way to do this in SD3 until today 2021
it is very confusing… does not fit my logic.. I wish there was a option to more anything anywhere and all midi in ANY SD3
windo have the Same Response.. it is not logic.
mm.. more clicks.. i think we need save preset for all windows in the main window.. too.. it is easier.. specially if you change the library
