ok, thanks, yes that is what i am experiencing. I only get the fully open sound, however it does choke the hihat after playing an open hihat, it just won’t play a single choked hihat. So this would say it does read the pedal in some manner.

It works fine for all NI drumkits.

EDIT: ok, i just opened EZD2 up using Reaper rather than standalone, and it works fine, but still doesn’t work in standalone. No biggie as at least i can now play choked hihat.

thanks for your reply, yes, i chose ‘other’. I have tried each of them and my kit works the same on each e-drum mapping selections.

Let’s be fair now. You get a discounted price.

Those that got the free upgrade were those who bought the product at a higher cost than the discounted price offered to you knowing full well that EZdrummer 2 was replacing the original that is now no longer available. That’s the way upgrades work. It’s a plan to get more people to buy into their products who don’t currently have it at all.

How would they cover their costs just giving upgrades away to all current customers.

Could the upgrade have been cheaper for ‘loyal’ customers like yourself, well that can be debated forever.
