Hmm, my reply seems to have disappeared. I said something like:

Yeah, silly me. For some reason I expected a program installation, but, you’re right, they’re just audio files and MIDI.

All versions of EZD2 (I now have a 32-bit and 64-bit standalone version, as well as the 32-bit VST plugin) show the same software version (2.0.0), and all have access to the same libraries.

    Thanks a lot, man.

Haha, don’t worry. There’s a comparable one for electric guitar and bass, too. Even one for human voice. We’re all doomed!

Oh, hai Cory. We’re both away ‘from home’

Yeah, it’s very easy to record with. I set mine so it’s hardly colouring the sound at all, then use impulse files for the cab emulation. The Palmer itself is very easy to use. It doesn’t even have a power switch! You just plug in your amp and you’re away!

    ^ haha, if only.

How about this for a question: if the album turned out to have drums like St Anger and Metallica announced they’d used Superior 2.0 for it, would you guys be happy, sad or both simultaneously? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Aye, it really is quite the level of service people get here. I got help late on a Friday night a couple of weeks back, after posting late in the evening. I was expecting a reply on Monday at the earliest. It really is an unparalleld level of service as far as I’m aware. Cheers to you chaps!

Incredible. I was just checking other examples of it. Now all someone needs to do is create a programme that can use all these different plug-ins, listen to a bunch of songs from any given style, and create a sort of average song from it, and there’ll be no need for anyone to even control them anymore. Toontrack, I hope you realise you’ve basically helped build Skynet ๐Ÿ˜€

I was just browsing to see if I could find a Toontrack shirt. Are there any plans for these? I’d buy one (although, if they’re given out free for loyal, up-talking customers, I wouldn’t complain). I need a new ‘gigging’ shirt, and I love nerdy stuff like this. I could finally retire my Umbrella Corp and Zombie Repellent shirts ๐Ÿ˜€

Great mixing, man! The sound of this is release-worthy.

Great music, too. Very modern-day Dream Theater. And nice tight playing. The only thing I’d say is there’s a distinct lack of shred guitar on it! Get some on it!

Thumbs up from me. That was cool. I didn’t know The Edge liked Yngwie, though ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hi Alan,

Thanks very much. Very kind words.

Yes, I’ve seen the Producer Mix pack, but it just doesn’t have anything I particularly want. Not sure who of Allen’s clients you thought sounded similar to my stuff, but….
I’m getting closer (not close, but I’m seeing progress) to the sounds I want now, so I’ll just continue with my own mixes.

And that is my own stuff I wrote the song, literally everything except the bass solo, as I do with all of my band’s songs. I’m a control freak ๐Ÿ˜€
