    …and don’t forget to update to 2.4.1…

I will definitely do that. I don’t actually own it yet. I’m playing with it at my friends place. I think you sold me on moving ahead with the purchase though. This cymbal issue was the only thing standing in my way.

    Thanks again everyone!!

Roots is peculiar in that the 4 cymbals all seem to be rides. They all have
    Crash articulations though.

That is perfect. Sounds like exactly what I want for a more traditional jazz sound!

Perfect! I appreciate all your help. It sounds like the Roots expansion is what I need to solve my problem.

    Thanks!

It was the Vintage Expansion. Can you mix and match drums and cymbals from different expansions?

    Hi,

This is version 2.3 in Cubase Pro 8. Yes, I am using the Yamaha E-Drums MIDI Preset. SD’s ride cymbal correctly responds to the 3 zones of my ride cymbal (Bell, Edge, and Bow). But SD’s crash cymbals do not properly respond to the Bow part of my cymbal pad. Both the edge and bow make the same sound in SD. The crash cymbal bell *is* properly working.

If I right-click the crash cymbal, I only see 2 articulations available in the lower-right box of the interface. I can’t figure out how to (or, if it’s possible to) manually map the 3rd articuulation.
