I’m starting to develop a drum midi file (1 ~ 4 bars each) to save up some time from punching in midi notes every time I write songs. Once I have a fairly large bank of midi files, I’m hoping to share the midi pack for free. I wanted to get some advice on how to make sure that I build/share this library efficiently. My biggest concern is having to update file names or reformatting them to make it useful before releasing it.
What information would you find it helpful to have in file names of drum midi loops?
What file format would you find it helpful if you download a library like this (zip, rar, or anything else)?
Any tips on organizing file structure? (by genre, purposes like beat and fills)?
