Hi Rogue,
I tried to authorize it in superior drummer and it was still showing me the old computer ID so I figured from what you had said that my version of SD2 wasn’t the latest – sure enough I was on version 2.3.0 so after I updated SD2 authorization worked. I wonder if it had something to do with me also having EZDrummer which presumably is the latest version, and maybe there was some conflict between EZD and SD2 that caused this authorization issue. It’s just curious that the Classic suddenly ‘decided’ it wasn’t authorized and yet all other libraries were fine. Anyway thanks for the help

I also notice that the associated computer ID also has extra digits/letters all of a sudden. These extra digits/letters (both for the comp ID and authorization code) are only being displayed for the Classic. All other libraries still work fine.
Cheers,
Jeremy

Yes, there was another thread on this…definitely sounds outta tune to me…

It’s definitely not perfectly in tune. I don’t know quite how to put this because I’m going to sound like I’m majorly over-reacting but…having played the cello for 13ish years (which really tunes your ears to hear minute variations in pitch), EZKeys sounds way out of tune to me – not just slightly out :S
But I may be crazy 😉

Yeah I was thinking about getting the Chuck Ainlay pack but I agree that it’s a bit of a ridiculous price increase

I’m using Logic Pro 9, but I don’t think the tuner in Logic is that great. At the moment I’m using AmpliTube 3 for guitars and I find AmpliTube’s tuner really good. But AmpliTube is so resource-hungry – it’d be great to be able to use EZMix as an alternative when actually tracking guitars.

Platinum Samples has a midi pack played by Bad Religion’s drummer…it is AWESOME, check it out!!

That is a REALLY good idea…

I think the suggestion of reverb in the mixer is a good idea!

Yeah, that is a really good point which I admit I hadn’t given enough thought to.
In fact, last night I put a vocal preset on a clean electric guitar part and it sounded fantastic…
So maybe just having producer EZmix packs (as have been released to date) is the way to go.
Cheers for that perspective!

Hi,
Just out of interest, which of the other packs have you tried that you are comparing it to when you say it’s impressed you more than others?
I’ve been wanting to increase my EZmix preset bank but the other packs haven’t really grabbed me enough to shell out for them – this one definitely appeals tho…

Thanks Chris,
yeah it sounds super compressed to me…maybe it just doesn’t suit my tastes. I just thought if it gets to the point where you can hear the compressors pumping that it’s maybe over compressed, but I guess it could be subjective.

Why did you even post that? I’m confused, it seems you were being sarcy but I’m not sure why…
If you have a lot of time on your hands why not listen to the track I was talking about and let me know what you think.

One of the ‘related products’ shown on the ‘Songwriter’s month’ page is Superior Drummer…maybe there’ll be an SDX?

Not sure why you didn’t wanna answer this, but thanks for your response then.
A four-mic set-up can make drums sound HUGE, hence why I thought maybe it would also be suitable for harder styles. But I can appreciate that this is not what you were going for when you recorded it.
The samples I’ve heard sound great though.
Cheers,
Jeremy.
