Something vintage? A tribute?

OK, English is my first language. It’s my only language. Rogue’s said nothing rude here, and done nothing but explain where the manual is and try to explain why it wasn’t in the update.
lingyai is clearly the one losing his temper here. Apparently the explanation cannot possibly be taken at face value. Certainly it has ruined lingyai’s day.
Lingyai – Tone it down and get over yourself. Go read the fucking manual or something.

That’s a good idea. I like it.

EZKeys is designed to analyze and manipulate chords. I’d think where you have basically a monophonic source (bass) it would present some difficult challenges to EZKeys in its current form.
Say you have two bass notes in a measure. C and E. Is that all a C major chord, where the bass is going to the 3rd, or is that a C and an E minor? Or is the E actually major?
That confusion does not exist with most piano material, and certainly none of the included EZKeys MIDI.
What you’re asking isn’t impossible, just different from how EZKeys was designed for now.

There are a fair share of 6/8 grooves in various styles. If your project is in 3/4, you’d set EZKeys to 2x speed in the browser to audition them.
The list of time signatures you can choose is 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8. You can also turn 4/4 into 3/4 by trimming the MIDI measure by measure. That operation is probably more efficiently done in your host though.

To summarize what I think you’re saying…if EZKeys exposed MIDI out, MIDI could be transformed and auditioned from EZKeys through other virtual instruments, very similar to the way EZPlayer Pro is used now.

That Roots Camco sounds like it may have been a wooden beater. I forgot to check if there was felt option. Might have made a big difference.
There are two John Bonham kits in the Metal Foundry with a 26″ kick…the Ludwig Silver sparkle and Ludwig Vistalite. He used both, but if memory serves used the sparkle kits more often. I think the Vistalite was more of a live kit for show.
If you want jazz hits, then get Roots, it’s not just the kit pieces themselves but it really is the way it is played.
Metal Foundry is going to have bigger hits, but also will run the range from light to heavy. It’s just that the way Roots was played will allow for the sound of a drummer with more finesse than with Metal Foundry. Though, for instance in Roots the crashes are never hit like a rock drummer would hit a crash. Big difference there.

Sorry, missed the tempo request.
Looking at your post above that, I’d say go for the Roots library if you want the same vibe as that drummer playing on youtube. The Camco may not actually be your best starting point for a big woody, jazzy kick. Maybe pick the Ludwig maple and pitch it down a bit.
If I closed my eyes and listened to him playing, I’d never guess that kick was a 28″.

Wow. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to operate it with the chord saver. I’m not a manual reader, so was a little flummoxed for a very brief while.
I’ve been playing with it for hours now. I haven’t had this much fun since I got it. Makes all the difference.
There is still some room for improvement for when the MIDI track is too long for the chord progression that is saved. If the MIDI is too long, a user should be able to slide the piece that he wants to play in position, snapping on measures. I’ve got some entire piano songs in MIDI that I can’t audition anything but the first 4-8 measures in this way.
There is a workaround inside EZKeys though. Drag the longer piece in, edit out everything you don’t want (trim on both sides), move that edited piece back into the browser and audition against your chords that way.
Great update though! Keep it coming.
Thanks,
fizbin
