I make an x-drum of the same hat in the lib I´m using and put the OH mic on it so I have a channel just for the hi-hat. Matter of fact right now I´v done it with the ride. Just now I have a custom set going. Dw drums and the splash symbal from metal foundry. Symbals, hi-hat and ride from Avatar. The ride on it´s own channel. A little bleed in all channels and very little room.
I should have said that since I also own the C&V I just feel that this is not worth the money. I think it´s all covered in C&V.
I really got Scott going. I really hope that after this we will never see the classic in 24 bit for superior. Well it still seem funny that you spend all that time to record in 16 bit. Is it not possible to record in 24 bit and downsample to 16 bit. Then you have one small for the Little MacBook and one big for the Mac pro. Well right now I use Abbey Road Modern Drums. This is a great sounding set.
I just think it´s sad that you don´t have the classic as a 24 bit. I have the nashville and vintage rock and when I compare them to the C&V both through superior it´s a huge difference. I think the vintage rock was also made by whitten?. If the new classic set sound like the vintage rock set ( they are all 16 bit ) then I don´t want to use money on it. Should be able to download a trail before buying.
Then why did superior come with 24 bit. Maybe classic is not good enough to be a superior set. :-))
But still only in 16 bit. Unbelivible that they do this when they mean that 16 bit is not good enough for pro use?
I´m sure you have recorded in 24 bit. When will we see the same classic for Superior 2
