Have you tried it again since your first try? Do you have any internet connections problems except for the EZdrummer 2 demo?

Yes, uninstall the demo and then run the full installer.

Hello
Please check that you have setup Logic to export MIDI as Format 0. This setting is found in Settings… in the top left Logic Pro X menu, and in there it’s on the first tab “General”.

“Select All” is also available if you right click on the track where there’s no MIDI.

Thanked by: Ron RobsonThat doesn’t keep the size of the old block, the new block will just overwrite what under it. The copy paste way will ensure that no none selected blocks on the track will be overwritten.

I just tried your setup in Logic and it works. I have the kick and the snare MIDI in Logic and the tambourine MIDI is placed on EZdrummer 2’s song track. Have you checked that you have the latest version of EZdrummer? In the menu, there’s a menu entry called “Check for updates…”. Check that you have the latest version.

Yeah, it’s good to know that you can drag the MIDI to your host, especially if you need to tweak some details that EZdrummer 2 can’t, move a single note for example. You can import it back into EZdrummer 2 after that to continue to edit the MIDI from there, since Power Hand and many others features are (according to my humble opinion) much smoother than in the host
But the situation you explained should work. It’s possible to play MIDI both from the host and from EZdrummer 2 at the same time. I’m going to check it out so there’s no bug etc.

Adjustments that aren’t possible to do in EZdrummer 2 can be done outside EZdrummer 2 (in Logic or Pro Tools for example) and then you can import that MIDI to EZdrummer 2 again and continue to use it from there…

So you have the MIDI that plays the drum kit in Pro Tools and the MIDI that plays the percussion (tambourine, shaker or single hits) in EZdrummer 2?
How does it sound if you mute the MIDI that Pro Tools plays (to exclude the possibility that Pro Tools also tries to play the percussion)?
How does it sound if you drag the percussion MIDI to Pro Tools and play it from there?

I attached a simple kick snare kick kick snare MIDI file. Drag it to your Tap2Find drop zone and you should see some 100% matches.
I also attached a screenshot of the results you should get (those are only from the EZdrummer 2 core library).

Make sure that you turn off “Follow Host” if you are going to play MIDI from your host. When “Follow Host” is enabled it will play back the time line from EZdrummer 2, meaning that it will both play the MIDI from your host and from EZdrummer 2
The Follow Host button is found just beneath the song track on the bottom of EZdrummer 2.

So it sound as it should when you preview the MIDI from the browser? Does it sound good if you drag it to your host’s time line and play it from there?

There are “simple” patterns included. For example – [EZdrummer 2 Modern/Vintage] > [Ballad – Straight 4/4] > [Verse]. That folder, for example, contains (according to me) pretty basic drum patterns. If you tap a basic 4/4 *K S K K S* into Tap2Find you’ll find other similar grooves. If you find a groove to be too busy, perhaps because it plays the crash as power hand instead of the hi-hat, drag it down to the track and change power hand, change the amount on some drums…

If you select the Original Mix preset for the EZX (from the big orange menu in the top right corner of EZdrummer 2) you can control the bleed levels for different channels. If you turn down “Snare” on the knob (in the blue effect rack named Mic Bleed at the bottom of the mixer), the bottom snare mic won’t pick up any sounds from the other drums
