And I don’t have a bass, so I had to pitch shift my guitar, which is why is sounds horrible!
Guitar is an Ibanez Rga121 prestige with emg’s, and the amp is a 5150 3 mini 50watt head using impulses. I live in an apartment, so I can’t mic it up with my mesa bogie cab 🙁 The keys is Halion Sonic, and the drums is DFH.
Volitian, how would you make the tone warmer and not so thin? And I agree on the guitars being too loud.
I think they are worlds better than recording with a line 6. At least my tone is a real 5150 and not a emulator. It also makes it easier on the processor when you use the send out on your amp rather then an insert in you DAW.
I use GuitarHack’s impulses. Two hard left and right. I try to get one that has more mid and one with more high to balance it out. It works great!
What I actually do is use my 5150 send jack and send it to the interface. After that, I play the riffs that I want to record. You can then put a guitar impulse in the insert of your channel to emulate a guitar speaker.

Take a listen to some of my work.
Now, willing to record vocals over it? I have a newer better mix. Screaming and singing?
The tone is pretty much my 5150 send jack to the interface and then I add impulses. It works great!
