Cool. There was a band in the Chicago area in the early 2000’s and they had a guy play a DR-660 for drums. He was INSANE!!!! Drum solo and everything, and they played bigger venues around here. They sounded like Fear Factory.

A sub woofer can be bad, and can be helpful. If you know where most car / mp3 / cd players standard cross over points are at you can use that sub to get crazy kick thump and massive bass! I pulled my mp3 from here because its going on a cd and this past weekend we went over to my buds studio who does nothing but hip-hop / dance music. HUGE sub and system there and I had him leave his system totally setup for hip hop/ mad sub bass songs. And put ours on it. Was a rude awakening for me but he taught me about controlling those lower frequencies and how to use sine wavs and HOLY SH*T!!! I was like a kid in a candy store.

Nice tune monkeymanx, but yeah…. if you get that sub and don’t do much hip hop/ lower frequency stuff. I’d start looking around for someone who does and is good at it! It’s a whole new ball-game for me now and I think you’ll freak too!!! Oh yeeah, if you knew this already….. mybad 🙂

Glad you got it!!! Usually if you want your kicks to sound like triggers…. just leave every velocity at 127. But, for a more human feeling move them around. I’ve seen Famous drummers that are known for being hard hitters…. and their kicks were coming in around 110-117 velocities. None higher!!!

Good luck!! That’s strange FL Studio did that.

    OLD SKOOL oh yeah!!!
That’s just a 7 tuned in C with the 7th string dropped to G. Here’s a sample with my 8 [tuned D-A-D-G-C-F-A-D. Still trying to find the holy moly sweet spot tone with this Ultra. And after doing some work, I’ll do them all over when the bare knuckles arrive

    Thanks

Hey hey Monsterhulk!! I’ll post again. Tunes are sweet Man!! I just thought the snare sounded different for this style. Definitely have that Crowbar vibe!!! Hahaha, weird ajxtjs mentioned them. I’ll see Tommy in March! Only thing I thought was hard to get used to (just my opinion) was the vocals! But, hahaha many of my older projects get the same comment about vocals hehehe.

    Sweet tunes!

Upload a audio sample! Kick drums are the easiest to sound ‘real’. It’s amazing how (Not saying this pertains to the O.P.) many people think they can just throw on humanize and all of a sudden their double bass drums will sound like Lombardo or Kollias. If it was that easy, everyone would have incredibly awesome sounding programmed drums.

Those Tomas Haake midi files on Metal Heads is worth the price alone!!!! ‘The Metal Foundry’ drums sound great. The ‘Metal Heads’ drums sound just as great with more BEEF!!

99.999999999% would have no problems. If you’re not endorsed and want to give a shout out to their company? They’ll be more than happy. It’s FREE advertisement! I did it for one company at a old website, and they dug it so much. I got a free amp! I wouldn’t even worry about it.
BUT………….. do it in text form without asking, and DONT use their Logo without permission. And definitely don’t customize their trademarked Logo!! That’s a BIG no no that will get you deeper than you know if they want to.

Rogue!! That Susan Boyle thing would be great!! ToonTrack could say…” From Meshuggah to Susan Boyle! Our drums do it all!” Hahahahaha
