I would also LOVE this feature.
The sounds in SD3 are great, but I would love to create my own kits in the studio.
Honestly could be a great marketplace for SD3.
Resurrecting an old thread here but oh well!
Have a Roland KD200 bass drum (td27 module) and I can’t seem to get the drum to get both open AND hit to trigger with the drum.
I can’t find any documentation on it either.
anyone have experience with this?
does it work or am I chasing my tail?
thanks!
Incredible.
you answered all my questions and more.
you sir are a gentleman and a scholar.
it all makes so much more sense now.
hopefully this helps others on into the future!
Right?
Seems strange that this topic hasn’t been explored much on YouTube.
I’ll definitely watch and subscribe!
Thank you!
Interesting.
when I play back the track it’ll play back SD3 tracks simultaneously?
ill give that a try, but still not quite understanding.
Seems as though the midi should be “read” by the AU but recorded in the DAW?
probably a dummy but it seems there’s not a lot of documentation on using an EDrum kit with SD3 for recording and the methods and best practices used.
that seems like the primary function.
if anyone knows of some good how-to resources for this stuff that would be great!
So do I have to have both GB and SD3 record simultaneously to make that work?
I’m not quite understanding how the AU works once I’ve recorded my drum take in GB.
i have the MIDI in GB but not SD3 it seems. But the sounds are being generated by SD3 (same as any AU instrument).
Thanks for the reply!
