I’ve read to the end of this and I still have no idea how to move my sound library location on a Mac.

    Can someone make this clear?

The link to the manual, supplied, redirects to here – which is no use at all – https://www.toontrack.com/user/

Yeah, this is nice. Catchy as well as musically pleasing – I say that to make the compliment less hollow. If the arrangement is boring, I won’t like it no matter how catchy it is.
I’ve listened right to the end. I hardly ever do that, so that’s my best complement 😉

I like it. Mainly the musicality, the mix & the distorted guitars.
I can’t get into the screaming parts though. Just can’t get used to it. Though I know it’s a popularish technique these days.

    Hey Allan,

This is one of my old favorite styles – Instrumental Metal (I’m thinking Marty Friedman)

Top points for doing something heavy without vocals (vocals always ruin a good song)

At first I thought the rhythm guitars weren’t loud enough, but then I’ve started to give up judging music using these iMac speakers – they’re OK but it’s not really fair to judge music using them – I put my headphones and thought it wasn’t bad.

Your song is quite similar in instrumentation (for the purposes of thinking about mix) to this: http://youtu.be/HT0EsXxv_c0 – except in this video Marty has to do without a 3rd guitar.

I thought it lacked of a bit “tightness” in general, and in a few parts in particular.
But I tell you what, I wouldn’t have picked that’s not a real drummer.

And that’s the main thing, given we’re on a drum forum! They sound real as anything (maybe except the repeated snare hits, they were a bit lacking in velocity variation to be real).

    Well done.

    Right, thanks. Sorry.
I’d assumed EZPlayer was the new “Groove Browser” – must have read something misleading.
I’ve only ever installed 2.2.3 but I just didn’t notice the tab strip nor the button/tab “Grooves” – which is what I was looking for.

I don’t think there’s much you could do to cater for my ignorance there – maybe if the tab said “Beat Browser” I would have noticed, but that’s probably not gonna work for other reasons.
