Hey I don’t mind helping out!
If you want to send me the Midi file and link me to some kind of referance material for the sound you’re after I don’t mind having ago. Could even try mix a track for you…
Regards, Marcus.
“Get on, shut up & hold tight!” Is that an optional extra that Harley do? :p haha love it. Your bike looks mean G.man!! Some [mod edit] nice customisation you’ve done sir. If I get the Iron I was thinking about maybe putting Bassani custom pipes on it. Not sure sure my neighbours would agree though seeing as they all have kids… Screw it, those little buggers grind my gears enough screaming all the time. Hopefully give em nightmares when I ride home late! Hows the ride? Pretty smooth?
Regards, Marcus.
lmao!! that’s awesome! That should be one of the cravendale milk adverts!
Regards, Marcus.
Ahh Sweet i’ll do it like that!
If you’re wondering why I’m gating the chamber I’m chopping the tail off the snare so it doesn’t drag through to the next hit. I’ve got the chamber sitting quite high in the mix and by doing this it almost sounds like it’s pumping and breathing, I don’t really know how to explain it, but it sounds pretty cool in context with the tune 🙂 I want the toms to keep their tail ends for that big sound which Is why I asked 😀

Normaly I’d just turn the volume up on my audio unit for the headphone mix and turn everything else down on the Logic faders, except the drums. Are you using headphones? If not try invest in a pair.
Regards, Marcus.
Still think Amplitube 2 still sounds more convinsing than Guitar Rig 4, ‘spesh when you run it at 96k sounds spot on. Don’t get me wrong GR4 still sounds cool with the new mix feature. But still lacking that depth in tone. I like mixing both plugins together.

Found out what the problem is… The damn MIDI to USB cable is a pile of turds! Hooked it up to my keyboard and it couldnt even play 2 notes at the same time.

I believe I have been lucky but I do have to say the DVDs I received were in a disgusting condition
Yeah I noticed this too, my first set were all scratched and had this horrible grubby layer of film on them I had to polish off.

For my tracks, i’ve used EzDrummer Pop-Rock kit for the rock songs (run away/i miss you) and i’ve mixed EzDrummer DrumKitFromHell+BF2 for the Temple Of Hope song.
PLease comment dudes
2nd Vids is quite Buckethead-esk. It’s all pretty much technique. Would be really nice to see you playing lead along to somthing grooving. Got any more vids?
Regards, Marcus.
Marcus, I’d much rather hear music played with feeling than to be blasted by a blizzard of notes. Mate, you don’t need to learn tapping, leave that to Steve Vai.
I 100% agree I’m not realy a shred fest fan, it’s just I love the sound of some licks which use it. Like the solo from “Get the funk out” By Extreme, Nuno rocks! It’s nice being able to do these things because it gives you more room for creativity.
I’ve been working out some moody sounding chords recently just using 3 notes which sound pretty dark. Here’s a basic progression I made from them. Just strum it how you fancey…

Anyone managed to get the classic Guns ‘n’ Roses preset or have one that sounds pretty close to it? I realy want Steven Adlers snare sound!
