make sure your release time on the compresor is set fairly quick or you could be holding onto more of the drum sound that you dont want there.
I find the quicker the “attack” the more beater sound you’ll get also, as you slow it, you’ll get more of the drum sound.
You can always notch a bit out eq wise too, but probably not the best option.
i would figure out the exact bpm of the drum part, find as close as posible, a loop inside the drum loops of SD and have alook at the velocities in there. maybe even copy and paste em into your drum part and organise em there.
you can at the very least see the veloctiy increments of the SD loop and just change them in “your” drum map.
keep in mind too that the med amb mic can really make things boomy if its too loud.
i like to use a filter on the inside kick mic to get rid of alot of the low end and keep the outside mic for body. having said that though i get a fair bit of kick from my OH’s.
