As another suggestion, I think it’d be great to get some integration between EZMix and SD3. Being able to load a kick or snare mix preset onto the respective channel without having to export into the DAW would be great
Damn, I just made a similar request myself, so this is my +1. The engineer on Dirt is Pelle Henricsson who worked on Refused’s album The Shape of Punk to Come as well as their previous album Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent I believe and the drum sounds on those records are my absolute favorite. I’d pay big money for a Dirt/Pelle Henricsson SDX
As far as the punk MIDI grooves and fills pack, it’d be great to get the drummer from that album, David Sandstrom, to do it. He has an interesting sense of rhythm his playing is unreal
I would like to unite to that request of Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX compatible for SD3, that would be a great addition. Is it actually compatible with anything?
I looked up some demos of this expansion on youtube and I’m watching a video of it being used in SD3 right now, so my guess is yes it is compatible haha
However, I’m not seeing it available anywhere for purchase anymore
Oh wow, just realized the EZMix Dirt pack is Pelle Henricsson, who actually worked on the album… it’d be great if Toontrack did an SD3 expansion for him or if he at least had some producer presets for it
How do you set up the dedicated ride channel? The ride only appears on the OH and room channels on both the core and Legacy of Rock kits (I guess I only have the one expansion) so there’s not a way to process it separately. I don’t play myself so I write midi drum parts. I could have a separate instance of the program with only the ride loaded I guess, but that would start to get clunky in my DAW
Well if you’re into punk or hardcore, the album is definitely worth a listen! It’s a masterpiece in my opinion, everything from the production to the writing. But thanks, I’ll give it a shot! There’s not a way to mix and match shells and cymbals from different expansions is there?
Damn, I wish you’d seen and replied to this sooner. Went ahead and bought at musiciansfriend for 15% off
