I realise this is an old post, but how did you fair out with your above mentioned set up?
I have the same model Macbook Air which I was thinking to use with a Roland TD27KVM with SD3, but am looking for an audio interface to add to this. I was curious how the Focusrite 2i4 worked out for you, or if you have any better advice since you embarked on your journey?
