Most people seem to be using the TD-50 preset. That’s what I start with. I will say the digital ride mute is all or nothing and doesn’t mute based on the amount of hand pressure like it does with the TD-27s internal sounds. You can see the variation of pressure being sent in the midi messages, but SD3 doesn’t seem to support that variation (yet?) for apply the mute.
Megadrum has plenty. The 56-input version has 29 trigger inputs with add-on position sensing option for 5 of the inputs. I have moved from my TD-12/DDrum setup to this and have been happy with it.
You can buy as a the kit or assembled. Plan for a few hours to setup each pad. There are a lot of settings.
