    Thanks Petter,

I am genuinely interested in grabbing EZ Drummer 3, but I would never make a purchase blind. especially with a policy that doesn’t allow refunds if you download the software, Im sure you might have a good amount of potential buyers that feel the same. I find a good amount of companies are much more flexible these days with 14 day no questions asked refund policies.

I am signed up for your emails, so if you add a trial option or adjust your refund policy please send out some marketing about it.

I feel one or the other is a must.

    Thanks

Would like to see you add the option to trial your products, it’s all good taking a look at your product videos but nothing compares to getting hands on, I have tried a few products from various companies in the past that unfortunately did not work out for my workflow of fail to run correctly on my system. You also have a very limited and constrained refund policy compared to other companies. So there is no way to give your products a real test before purchasing.

    Haha,

It was a pleasure to meet you Austin McNally, Now known as the mysterious Mr X!

Its cute that you deleted all of your posts to cover up the obvious bad day you are having.

Wishing you a bright and blessed day!

    Your truely

    No..

The problem here is you have been unable to separate two subjects Austin, and subsequently shown how much of a pleasant person you are.

    1. The issue that you may deserve a refund due to lack of prior notification to the VST 3 update, Which I can still see why you probably should get one.

    2. The issue that you cannot use EZ drummer 3 with Vienna.

The first issue I do not blame vienna for.

    The second issue I do.

Hopefully, that wasn’t too “dim-witted” for you

    Considering you said

“I am a customer so long-standing and have made significant purchases with Toontrack”

I would have thought you would be able to find it too

And no I am not “staff” its my surname lol.

Also not an apologist, I was just trying to help because you stated you didn’t know why they made the change, in which you decided to be rude.

you are obviously frustrated, go have a little lie down Austin.

    Its not “dumb-assed Blame-Shifting”

    Its simple..

One company improves product to bring technology up to date with current expectations

One company still doesnt support new technology up to date with current expectations (14 years after it was released)

If I was to be frustrated with anyone in that respect.. it would be the latter.

Your refund is a different story though. if what you say is true, then a refund probably should be provided.

Although I have to say, I have been considering the purchase of EZ Drummer 3, like with any plugin I buy.. I like to make sure it supports VST3

It took me 2 secs to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Requirements section and see what it supports (like most companies do).

I was not saying you were complaining but you did say

“Why have the developers dropped the VST plugin format in favour of VST3 format?”

“When I raised this with Tech Support they advised that this was the developers decision, but could not provide any explanation as to why the dev team had taken this decision”

    Hence my explanation.

Also I am not saying YOU blame them, I mean it in the sense of none of us can really blame them.

And yes “EVEN  I” can appreciate the more important issue of why a refund may be needed, hence why I already said.

“Although it does sound like you deserve a refund, if as you say there was no notice of no longer supporting the legacy VST format”

But you seem to not be able to read clearly, so who knows.

Although it does sound like you deserve a refund, if as you say there was no notice of no longer supporting the legacy VST format. Moving to VST 3 is a very good and needed move, especially since Steinberg will no longer be supporting the legacy VST format. The real problem you should have is with sienna for not supporting VST 3 yet. You cant blame Toontrack for wanting to improve the foundation of their product and getting with the times, blame sienna for lagging behind.
