    satrianalf,

OK, I am replying in my own thread since I did not see a recent thread from you.  So the song name is in regard to the Ben Folds Five guy? Nice keyboard/piano playing in your song; that’s what stands out for me.  The drums are good too.  Nice audio quality.  Happy New Year!

    satrianalf,

Thank you for listening and commenting!  I appreciate it!  I’m not saying it can’t be better, though I was pleased with how the lead guitars turned out on the song.  Unless it is purely a volume issue.  It seems everyone’s ears and sound system are a bit different.  I am not familiar with the Cardiacs, as far as I remember.  If you have any songs you want me to check out, leave me a link.

    Bear-Faced Cow,

Thank you for listening and for your review, I appreciate it!  I am fairly sure I’ve heard “Salvation Bluez/Cuz I Believe” before; I still think it really rocks!  If you have any new songs, let me know.

    satrianalf,

Thank you for listening and commenting, I appreciate it!  Actually, for the lead guitar (using Line 6 Helix Native) I used some pitch shifting harmonizing effect and an emulation of the Digitech Whammy pedal that gave it the crazy occasional upwards pitch shifts; giving it a synth-like flavor.  Though you might be speaking of the separate synth parts.  I hope your Autumn is nice also.

    satrianalf,

Thank you for the review!  Now your song: Drums (sound quite real to me) and bass sound very good.  I’m sure it helped John Bonham was playing along on the drums.  ;).  Guitar sounds very good too!  Nice song and recording!  🙂

    satrianalf,

Thank you for reviewing my song!  Now your song: sounds a bit moody; even though it doesn’t have vocals, reminds me a bit of the Cure.  Sounds nice.  Drums sound fine.  Cheers!

    satrianalf,

Thank you for the reviews!  Now your song: it was fun.  Kind of a 60’s/70’s organ thing happening.  So did you trigger Vintage EZX with playing an electronic drum set or ???  By the way, a friend of mine had a Ford Gran Torino similar to Starsky & Hutch, but not the same exact model year.   That was long ago. 🙂

Surf and Rockabilly drums?  Sounds intriguing.  I can get fairly close to Phil Collins sort of drums with Superior Drummer 2 using gated reverb; but a Phil Collins drum thing still sounds intriguing; Phil would probably want to get paid for that.

    Bear-Faced Cow,

Howdy!  Your song has an 80’s vibe, which is fine by me!  I detect some spiritual elements in the lyrics.  The vocals and the instrumental parts sound very good!  Nice song and recording!  🙂

    Bear-Faced Cow,

I have had some major spiritual experiences involving the Holy Spirit.  Nice to see you posting music again.  I think your song sounds quite good!  Everything sounds good instrumentally and vocally.  Nice guitar solo!  Cheers!  🙂

OK, thank you for clarifying.  If a person has a bunch of songs, a person could spend the rest of their life trying to tweak & improve old songs.  I guess there is a happy medium in there somewhere.  Not the same thing as you, but when I upgraded from a 4-track cassette recorder to a Roland VS-880, I spent a lot of time rerecording dozens of songs until I could not stand it any longer.
