Just a little more information – tried using the summed busses for each group (kick/snare/hi-hat/toms/OH) and the kick was offset from the rest of the groups.  This is at least workable but it’s still less than ideal.

If anyone knows why the different groups (or different mic outputs) are recording/bouncing to audio with different offsets, I’d really appreciate it.  To reiterate, nothing has changed in my system and it worked great for a long time until last week or so.  Very odd.

I have the same issue with SD3 and Digital Performer 9.52.

SOLUTION!  Here’s how I am now able to get MIDI data from EZ Keys into DP 9 without issue (other than I have to live record the MIDI and select the entire track and move it a smidge down the time-line…given that I have to do that with audio files made from MIDI it’s not too surprising and not a big deal):

    1. Create a MIDI track in DP and arm it to record.
    2. Go into EZ Keys and make sure you have the option to have EZ Keys output to MIDI checked.
    3. Hit play from the beginning of your tune and EZ Keys will output the MIDI into the track you’ve created.  From there you will likely have to move all the notes up the time line just a bit, but you can also then edit at will and assign the new MIDI track to any virtual instrument you’d like.  BAM!

So, still no option to drag and drop, but this is a very good second option, unless you’re making a cover of YES’ Tales From Topographic Oceans in which case you’ll have to wait 25 minutes while your track plays and the MIDI gets recorded from EZ Keys to DP.  🙂

Good to know, John.  I’m starting to suspect the issue is DP9 specific and will send an email to the folks at MOTU.  They’ve been very helpful in the past.  I’ll get back to folks if I figure out what the problem is.  Like you, I’ve found EZKeys to be an amazing product with this one little issue.  Fingers crossed that MOTU has some answers.

I only work in DP so don’t have any way of confirming whether it’s happening with other programs.  Good to hear it’s not happening in Reaper.  I wonder what might be the difference between the two programs?

I am also experiencing slow download speeds. I just purchased the upgrade to SD3 and have more than 200GB of library to download. My download speed is usually about 50mb/s and I’m getting 3mb/s to 5mb/s from the Toontrack Product Manager. Just for reference, I’m in Oregon, United States and have no problems with downloading other files (just downloaded a bunch of WAV drum loops and got 50mb/s).

Mr. Rammelt, can you give us an update on what the issue is?
